In 2025, Mat Olejniczak sold the Hamsher building on Pistakee Lake Road. If youheard about the change, we want you to know — Hamsher Funerals & Cremations is still open and still serving this community.

Where we are now

Our administrative office is located at 74 E. Grand Avenue, Suite 101, Fox Lake, IL 60020. This is where you can reach us for arrangements, planning conversations, and general questions.

Where services are held

For families who need funeral home space for visitation, services, or gatherings, we work with trusted partner locations in McHenry and Lake Villa. We also work with your place of worship — if your family has a church or faith community you'd like to use, we'll coordinate everything.

Most families find that this approach gives them more flexibility, not less. You're not limited to one building or one room. We'll help you find the setting that feels right.
