William J. "Bill" Warner
Spring Grove, Il. businessman and longtime resident died suddenly Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Centegra Hospital, Mc Henry, Il.
He was born on July 20, 1940 to Earl and Marie (nee Manski) Warner in Chicago, Il. and had served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Warner owned and operated "Warner Resurfacing" Co. for over 35 yrs., resurfacing bowling lanes and later hardwood flooring. He was a member of the National Assoc. for Independent Resurfacers, and had served as a former president and treasurer. Active in his community he served as a former Spring Grove trustee during which time he acted as the police commissioner. An active member of the Nippersink Country Club, he golfed on a Monday morning and Thursday afternoon league and could be seen out on the course many Sunday mornings as well. As well as his love of family and golf, he was a faithful and avid Chicago Bears Fan.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 35 years, Irene (nee Kratunis) Warner; his children, Earl Warner, Ramona (Craig) Peasley, Pauline (Bob Trappe) Hill, Tammy (Scott) Meyer, Marie (Pete) Patterson, Sandy (Russ) Boelkow; by his former daughter-in-law: Jodi Justice. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his siblings, Sharon Warner, Mike (Angela) Warner, Chuck (Karen) Warner, Linda (Scott) Mc Ewen, and Sandra Warner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Margaret "Midge" (nee Reiser) Warner
Visitations will be on Sunday June 5th from 4-8 P.M. and again on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home 12 N. Pistakee Lk. Rd. Fox Lake, Il. 60020, with Monday 10:00 a.m. Funeral Services at the funeral home with the Rev. Nathan Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Cedarvale Cemetery, Spring Grove, Il.
