Wayne T. Grothe, 56, of Johnsburg, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born January 18, 1961, in Elgin, to the late Warren and Evelyn Grothe.

Survivors include his beloved, Renee Nugent; children, Mitch (Nicole) Grothe and Jill (Phil) Berry; grandchildren, Madilyn Grothe,  Mason Jackson, Makai Tu, and Evelyn and Travayis Berry; siblings, Steve (Sandy), Donna, and Larry Grothe; Renee's children, Jamie, Eric, and Alex Nugent; stepsons, Zack and Kyle Kraemer; three nieces; and many, many cherished friends.

The visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Monday, April 24, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.
