Wallace Bochonko, 85, of McHenry, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016, at his home.

He was born May 6, 1931, in Krysch Topiwka, Ukraine, and married Mary Holowka on November 9, 1957, in New York City.  Mr. Bochonko served in the Army and went on to retire from Motorola after working there for 37 years.  He enjoyed chess and collecting stamps.

In addition to his wife, Mary, survivors include his children, Natalie and Wallace (Kathryn); and granddaughter, Sonja.

The visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
