Vincent Paul "Babe" Giovanetti

Vincent Paul "Babe" Giovanetti, of Huntley, formerly of FL., Johnsburg, Lake Villa, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 5, 1925 in Oak Park, IL to Angelo and Josephine (nee Spoto) Giovannetti. On September 8, 1946 he was united in marriage to Alice (nee Dreschler); they celebrated 58 years of marriage until her death in 2005.

Paul will be deeply missed by his daughters Ellen (John) Ekes of WI, Joanne Smith of Antioch, and Paula (Andrea Aukamp) Giovanetti of Rockford; grandchildren, Brett (Elaine) Ekes of WI, Jennifer (Dave) Wisgerhof of CO, Brian (Shelley) Fehrenbacher of FL., and Kari Ballweg of WI; his 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and by his brother. Memorial visitation will be held Monday, October 13 from 11 AM until the 12 Noon memorial service at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL. Inurnment to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg.
