Venen Taulbee, 92, a longtime resident of Ingleside, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015, in Libertyville.

He was born September 10, 1923, in Jackson, KY to the late Marion and Della Taulbee.  Venen married Isabell Neace on October 15, 1949.

Venen served in the Army during WWII  as a rifle scout in the 390th Infantry Regiment, 98th Division, in Hawaii and Japan .  He was honorably discharged in 1946.  Venen went on to have a long career with Bell and Howell as a machinist.

Survivors include his children, Willard (Annie) Taulbee of Winchester, KY, Ina Taylor of Asheborough, NC, Vernon (Dominga) Taulbee of San Antonio, TX, Vernett Blair of Round Lake Beach; grandchildren, Willard, Grethel, Crystal, Gerard, Abby, James, Regina, Vincent, Vanessa, Herman, Robert, Valerie, Phyllis and Verniece; many great-grandchildren; sister, Emma Jane Brombeck; and brother, Jimmy Taulbee.

In addition to his parents, Venen was preceded in death by his wife, Isabell, in 1993.

The visitation will be Monday,October 12, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
