Val "Pat" Wilson, 73, of Fox Lake, passed away at his home, Monday, August 10, 2015.  He is survived by his wife Carol Ann (nee Burmeister), whom he married August 5, 1961; daughter, Shelley (Tony) Lavelle; surrogate daughter, Christine (Scott) (nee Keel) Herbold; grandchildren, Nick and Tony Lavelle, and Alanna Rose Sullivan; and sisters, Barbara (Delbert) Poff and Cynthia Bird.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Rebecca Wilson-Sullivan in 2002; and parents, Earl and Thelma (nee Pfromm) Wilson.  Visitation Thursday, August 13, from 2-9 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  There will also be visitation Friday, August 14, from 9 a.m. until the time of prayers at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home with procession to St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N.
