Timothy "Tim" J. Harrington's Obituary

Tim Harrington, 54, of Fox Lake, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021, surrounded by family at home.  He was born December 10, 1966, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Deisy (Cabrera) and the late John "Jack" Harrington. Growing up in Keokuk, Tim attended St. Vincent Catholic Grade School and was a 1985 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School.  He earned a degree from DeVry University in Kansas City, Missouri and went on to work as an IT engineer for almost 30 years at Motorola. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was known for his infectious laugh and his huge smile. He loved music and having a good time. He was always happy to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was loved by many. An avid outdoorsman, Tim enjoyed motorcycling, boating, camping, golfing, and fishing.  He loved to "tinker" with things and loved cars. Survivors include his son, Drake (Michelle Aceves) Harrington; the love-of-his- life, Alicia Taylor; mom, Deisy Harrington; sister, Gigi Harrington; and former wife and Drake's mom, Kate Gleixner. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jack, on July 29, 2020. A celebration of Tim's life will be held Saturday, April 17, from 2-5 p.m., at Port of Blarney, 27843 W. Grass Lake Rd., Antioch, IL 60002.
