Thomas G. Madden, 77, a resident of Long Lake for 48 years, formerly of Fox Lake passed away on November 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born on November 18, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Thomas J. Madden and Augusta Madden (nee Bachman).

Thomas was a U.S. Veteran, where he was stationed in Germany. He retired from US Steel and Baxter. He was a member of Fox Lake American Legion Post 703. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking and welding.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Judy Madden (nee McGreal), his children Beth (Leman) Pendley, Tracy (Carl) Bordis, Kitty Madden and Kelley Harrison, his grandchildren Thomas N. and Ashley Madden, Sarah, Aeriell and Leman Pendley, Stephanie and Allison Harrison, his great-grandchildren Blake Ramig, Bailey English and Ayden Roman, his brother Ronald (Kathy) and his favorite daughter-in-law Debbie Madden.

He was preceded in death by his son Thomas R. Madden, his parents and one brother, John W. Madden.

Memorial visitation will be Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 10 AM until time of service at 1 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake. Interment private.
