Thaddeus "Ted" S. Wielgos, age 76
A resident of Round Lake for the past ten years and former resident of Des Plaines passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 at Centegra McHenry Hospital in McHenry, IL.

Ted was born April 30, 1933 in Chicago to Stanley and Anna (Ciaciura)
Wielgos.

Ted was a mechanical engineer by profession having worked for the Eaton Company in Carol Stream, retiring after 23 years of employment. He achieved securing three patents for electrical switches during his employment.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War. He enjoyed building model airplanes and woodworking. He was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside.

He will be deeply missed by his wife: Marylin nee Kotlarz with whom he was united in marriage to on Sept. 27, 1958 in Chicago;
His children: Marianne (Alan) Lownds;
Michael (Peggy); Thaddeus "Todd"; and Kenneth (Lynnette) Wielgos;

By his sisters and brothers: Lorraine Kawalek, Stan (Loretta) and Raymond (Joan) Wielgos and Diane (Tom) Cox;

His grandchildren: Kyle, Kevin, Amy, Bobby, Ryan, Sherri, Brett, Brianna, Julie, Brandon and Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Anna Ciaciura and by his brother, Chester.

Visitations will be Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd in Fox Lake.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. Saturday (leaving funeral home at 9:00 A.M.) at St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside.
Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
In lieu of flowers memorials to American Diabetes Assn. appreciated.
