Bozo circus is on the air: the amazing and strong Susan L. Field (nee Portalatin and Leonhart), 57, of Fox Lake, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Condell Medical Center, after a long, courageous, and well-fought battle against breast cancer.  She was born February 13, 1960, in Waukegan, to Jose and the late Betty Portalatin.

Susan was an amazing woman known to her many family members and friends as a free spirit who was kind hearted and someone who always brightened everyone's day.

She is survived by her children, Kyle Langston and Courtney Niemiec; grandchildren, Heylee Niemiec and Ryan Herron; father, Jose Portalatin; and many siblings, extended family, and friends.

Services for Susan will be private.
