Sherry Lea Sandnes, 65, of Union Grove, WI (formerly of Lake Villa), peacefully passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born August 7, 1960, in Torrance, CA.

Sherry enjoyed fishing, traveling, organizing and hosting get togethers, and bringing people together. Above all she loved spending time and making memories with her family—especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Timothy Sandnes; daughters, Bridget Lawless, Laura (Chad) Strange, and Heather (Bob) Kucharz; grandchildren, Damien (Amanda) Lawless, Chloe Lawless, Owen Strange, and Lily Strange; great-grandsons, Oliver and Beckett Lawless; siblings, Sheila (Michael) Conrad and Allen (Kori Rae) Crews; her sister friend of 49 years, Anita (Jack) Cline; nieces and their families, Jennifer Conrad and Corinne (Aaron) Sheffield; and many friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and John Montana.

Visitation Friday, July 31, from 10 a.m. until the start of the eulogy service at 1 p.m., at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Route 83), Lake Villa. Inurnment will be private.  Arrangements by Hamsher Funerals & Cremations, Fox Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sherry’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, appreciated.
