Sherry Lea Sandnes, 65, of Union Grove, WI (formerly of Lake Villa), peacefully passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born August 7, 1960, in Torrance, CA.

Sherry enjoyed fishing, traveling, hosting family gatherings, and creating opportunities for people to come together. She was a light wherever she went, always ready to strike up a conversation. Creative, thoughtful, and full of love, she was incredibly proud of her girls and never missed a chance to talk about them. More than anything, she treasured time with her friends and family and loved making lasting memories, especially with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Timothy Sandnes; daughters, Bridget Lawless, Laura (Chad) Strange, and Heather (Bob) Kucharz; grandchildren, Damien (Amanda) Lawless, Chloe Lawless, Owen Strange, and Lily Strange; great-grandsons, Oliver and Beckett Lawless; siblings, Sheila (Michael) Conrad and Allen (Kori Rae) Crews; her sister friend of 49 years, Anita (Jack) Cline; nieces and their families, Jennifer Conrad and Corinne (Aaron) Sheffield; and many friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her mom and stepdad, Donna and John Montana.

Visitation Friday, July 31, from 10 a.m. until the start of the eulogy service at 1 p.m., at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Route 83), Lake Villa. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements by Hamsher Funerals & Cremations, Fox Lake.
