Roy Davis Kantenwein, 97, of  McHenry, formerly of Fox Lake, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Valley Hi, Woodstock.

He was born October 17, 1919, in New Castle, PA, to the late Oscar and Mary (nee Davis) Kantenwein.

Roy grew up in Oak Park, served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and went on to work for AT&T for 38 years.

Survivors include his wife, Delores (nee Eckhart); sons, Craig (Mary), Reid (Kim), and Bruce (Chris) Kantenwein; grandchildren, Scott (Joan) Kantenwein, Kelly (Tom) Cuzman, Jamie (Rob) Abeyta, and Casey Kantenwein; great-grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren) and Krystin Kantenwein, Noah and Chloe Cuzman, Alexis, Jake, Tony, and Brinley Abeyta, and Cole and Rilynn Kantenwein; and great-great granddaughter, Korra Kantenwein.

The celebration of Roy's life will be private.
