Rose Peters's Obituary

Rosemarie Peters of Spring Grove, IL passed away 7:30 pm on Tuesday October 15th, 2013. A long time resident of Spring Grove, she was born in Detroit Michigan on October 13th 1937 to Alois and Meta (nee Paolaweit) Kerscher, descendants of Germany. She married Joseph D. Peters in 1960. She is survived by two sons, Mark Peters, Bruce Peters; a grandson, Tyler Savage; and her shepherd, Hanni. As a civil service administrative employee for the 425th transportation brigade at Ft. Sheridan, she had received numerous awards for excellence from many army generals and retired after 25 years of service. After retiring, she became a caregiver for local companies serving the McHenry and Lake County districts. She will be painfully missed by all of her friends and relatives and will be remembered for her kindness towards her pets and all the people she knew.
Her sons will especially remember her stubbornness to get things done immediately and her character much like that of a panzer tank with righteous intention. She also adored QVC and shopping for new things people invent. May she rest in peace.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2pm at All Saints Lutheran Church, 5800 State Park Rd, Fox Lake, IL 60020. For those wishing to attend, there will be refreshments and brief piano playing before and after the service.
