Rose R. Kendra Nee Drabek, age 101
A resident of Fox Lake since 1977; former resident of Long Lake since 1954 died on Wednesday, December 25 in Libertyville.
Rose was born on March 23, 1911 in Chicago, IL to Peter P. and Julia (nee Nowak) Drabek.
She was a longtime member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside. She was the former owner of Kendra's Long Lake Inn, former owner of Kendra's Florist in Chicago; former member of the Fox Lake Lioness Club, Grant Township Republican Party and an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her son: Richard (Kathleen) Kendra of Long Lake;
Her daughter: Diane (Jack) Flory of Gurnee;

6 grandchildren , 9 great grandchildren;

By a brother: Robert Prelletz of Florida; a sister: Matilda Pandros of Glen Ellyn;
Her daughter in law: Vivian Kendra of Antioch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, her son, James, & three brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday,December 28, 2012 and again from 8:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Service with Deacon Larry Spohr officiating at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake (in the Chapel on the Lake)
Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City, Wisc.
