Ronald John O'Leary

Ronald John O'Leary, a resident of Fox Lake since 1976, formerly of Chicago, passed away on August 16, 2011. He was born in Chicago on July 22, 1932 to John Patrick and Merle Marie (nee Mullins) O'Leary.

He was a very active member of the Kankakee American Legion and Fox Lake American Legion, Post 703 as well as the VFW. He retired from UPS in 1994 after 35 years of employment. Ronald also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Ronald will be deeply missed by his loving wife Patricia (nee Smith); his dear children Linda (John) Burger and Laura (Louis) Kijak; his adoring grandchildren Bruce John, Keith Ronald and Derek Martin Burger, Louis Walter Kijak, Jr., Michele Nicole (Ames) Ronde (Kijak) and Kevin Michael Kijak; great-grandfather of Chloe Ronde; by his sister Katherine Stempien and by his brothers-in-law Richard and Randal Smith. Many other nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William O'Leary.
