Ronald Roman Malanchuk

Ronald Roman Malanchuk , a 25 year resident of Fox Lake, formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on March 28, 2014. He was born on June 9, 1936 in Manitoba, Canada to Michael and Pearl (nee Kuruchka) Malanchuk.

Ronald proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. In 1964, he immigrated to the United States and lived in Streamwood and later in Des Plaines where he started his company, Ron's Mobile Home Service. After retiring, he worked at Jewel-Osco in Fox Lake. Ronald was a people person and will be deeply missed by those who knew him, especially his loving companion and best friend for over 40 years, Ruth Cortilet; his dear children, Veronica (the late Miguel) Aragon, Christine (Daniel) Gathman, Paul (Jennifer) and Glen (Jennifer) Malanchuk; his 13 grandchildren and 11 (soon to be 12) great-grandchildren; his sister Mary Iwankow and by his dog, Chino "Big Guy".

He was preceded in death by his siblings Dan Malanchuk and Nellie Greenaway and by his parents.

Services and interment will be private.
