Robert L. "Bob" Peisert, 88, a longtime resident of Johnsburg, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at his home.  He was born October 29, 1930, in Chicago, to the late Edward and Evelyn (nee Schmidt) Peisert.

Bob was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Johnsburg VFW Post 11496, and a longtime member and usher at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by sons, Wayne (Patricia), Edward, Brian (Tammy), and Robert (Kathy) Peisert; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Dolores (the late Leonard) Blake.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Clarene (nee Freund) Peisert.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, from 6-9 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  A funeral Mass for Bob will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, December 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg—all are invited to go directly to the Church.  Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
