Robert Klier

Robert Klier, a resident of Spring Grove for over 35 years, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 16, 1925 in Chicago to Hugo and Gertrude (nee Ulrick) Klier, and Served in the United States Army during WWII.

Robert was a member of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus and a very active member at St. Peter Catholic Church, to which he devoted his time and talents, serving as Altar Server Coordinator, Lector, and even playing the organ during services on occasion. Robert also had a passion for music and loved to play piano and clarinet. Most of all, Robert was a very loving husband, father and grandpa.

Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Colette (nee Lessard); his children, Danielle (Robert) Little of Gurnee, Christine (Michael Woodard) Klier of Phoenix, AZ, Annette Klier of Spring Grove, Francois (Yukie Yamaguchi) Klier of Kenmore,WA and Monique (Brian) Hoguet of McHenry; his grandchildren, Emilie and Stephanie Klier, Kaylee, Lauren and David Hoguet; and by his brother Jim Klier of FL.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Jack and Tom Klier and by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19 from 4 until 8 PM and resume on Friday from 8:30 AM until time of prayers at 10 AM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2118 Main St., Spring Grove. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
