Richard A. Jones, a resident of Fox Lake, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2014. He was born on February 27, 1938 in Ardmore, Alabama to David and Laura (nee Cobble) Jones.

Richard worked for Oscar Mayer foods and retired from there after 30 years of service. He was an avid Cubs fan and loved to go fishing on his boat.
Richard will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mary (nee Schneider); his children, Pam (Steven) Hahn of Spring Grove, Linda Misik of McHenry, Jeffrey (Kimberly)Jones of McHenry and Val (Sharon) Jones of Crystal Lake; his grandchildren, Michelle, Steven, Jake, Kristi, Jessica, Sara, Emily and Rachel; and his great-grandsons, Stephan and Michael and his former wife, Carol (nee Hettinger) Jones.Richard was the loving "brud" of Jessie Gipson and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and his dogs Dusty and Holly.

He was preceded in death by his siblings and by his parents.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 17 from 9 until the 11 AM funeral service at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Interment will be at Randhill Cemetery, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Please meet at the cemetery by 1 PM.
