Peter "Pete" Lishamer Sr.

Peter "Pete" Lishamer Sr., 71, a 28 year resident of Ingleside, formerly of Spring Grove and Antioch, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at NIMC in McHenry, IL. He was born November 13, 1943 in Chicago to Joseph and Lorraine (nee Stoltman) Lishamer.

Prior to his retirement, he was a member of UAW Local 1643 working as a machinist at Komatsu, formerly Dresser, and International Harvester. Prior to that he enjoyed serving as a very sought after bartender at many bars and taverns throughout Antioch.

He enjoyed woodworking, boating and traveling. A modern day explorer finding off the beaten path places to share with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was cooking, from detailed "by the book" recipes to a "little of this, little of that" dishes. He loved cooking for his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Jenifer (Carl) Williams of Ingleside, Peter (Kim) Lishamer of Twin Lakes, WI; grandchildren, Carl "C.J." and Craig Williams of Ingleside, Emily and Nicholas Lishamer of Twin Lakes, WI; his brother Michael "Mike" (Lisa) Lishamer of Wadsworth, IL; dear friend Frankie Hernandez of Round Lake and many more brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who he loves and appreciated.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet "Jan" Lishamer, with whom he was united in marriage on May 20, 1972, and by their beloved dogs, Tuffy, Fritze, Minnie, Pearle, Molly and Crabby Butt.
