Peggy Smyth (nee Smalley), 81, a resident of Ingleside since 1968, unexpectedly passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at home.  She was born March 20, 1941, in Alabama.

Peggy was a wonderful, devoted, and loving wife, mom of five, grandma, and great-grandma.  She was active in her children's lives by being a Little League team mom and a detail-orientated person.

Survivors include her children, Dan (fiancée Maria Patterson) Smyth of Round Lake Beach, Rick Smyth of Ingleside, Tami (Jim) Riley of Genoa City, and Bill (Jen Mullin) Smyth of Mundelein; grandchildren, Matthew (Victoria) Smyth, Jaclyn Smyth, Kati (Dan) McCampbell, and Chase and Halle Smyth; step-grandchildren, Krista and Jacob Patterson and Seamus and Teige Mullin; and great-grandson, Donovan Smyth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and son, Jimmy.

The family will announce a celebration of Peggy's life at a future date.
