Paul W. Waltz, Jr.

Paul W. Waltz Jr., a longtime resident of Fox Lake, passed away on April 18, 2014. He was born in 1939 in Tucson, AZ to Paul, Sr. and Ernestine (nee Fay) Waltz.

Paul was a University of Chicago Alumnus, where he completed both an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Business. He was an early computer pioneer and an expert in the APL computing language. Later he studied Philosophy and taught Ethics and Critical Thinking at the College of Lake County. Most of all, Paul loved to golf and was a regular with the Senior League at the Chapel Hill Golf Club.

Paul will be deeply missed by his loving children, Marie, Margaret, Paul III and Alice; his grandchildren, Owen, Luke, Miles, Lily, Chelsea, Vivian and Leif; and by his siblings, Elizabeth and Daniel.

He was preceded in death by his brother John and by his parents.

Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, April 24 from 2 until the 4:30 PM memorial service at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home,12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
