Paul Jesus John Minkalis was born on July 9, 1955, in Chicago, IL, to George and Anna (nee Kowan) Minkalis. He passed away peacefully on October 29, 2012.

He was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. To Paul, nothing was more important than his family. He was an avid fisherman and, as a long-time resident of Fox Lake, he frequently fished the Chain. He was also a big Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Paul will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Suzanne (nee Rudderham); his daughters, Christy Minkalis (Ryan Feldman); Catherine Minkalis (Adam Krusa) and Stephanie (Mark) Rosekelly; his grandson, Ronnie Feldman; his siblings, Charles (Stella) Minkalis; and Mary Lou (Richard) Biel; and by his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Minkalis and Brenda Minkalis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, George (Delores) Minkalis, Anthony Minkalis, and Thomas Minkalis.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2012, from 4:00pm-7:30pm. The service will immediately follow with Pastor Nathan Anderson officiating, at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, IL. Internment will be private.
