Patricia M. O'Leary, a resident of Fox Lake since 1976, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2012. She was born in Chicago on August 14, 1937 to George and Edith ( nee Croak) Smith.

She was employed at The Globe in Fox from 1976 until the time of their closing. Patricia also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her dear children Linda (John) Burger and Laura (Louis) Kijak; her adoring grandchildren Bruce John, Keith Ronald and Derek Martin Burger, Louis Walter Kijak, Jr., Michele Nicole (Ames) Ronde (Kijak) and Kevin Michael Kijak; her great-granddaughter Chloe Ronde; her brothers Richard and Randal (Jan) Smith, and by her sisters-in-law Mary Ann O'Leary and Katherine (Thomas) Stempien. Many other nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald John O'Leary, her parents and her brother-in-law, William O'Leary.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2012, from 3 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. service at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
