Pamela Jean Rogge (nee Shumate), age 72, of Fox Lake, IL, passed away at 1:20 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2020, in Waukegan, IL.  Pamela was born on September 26, 1947, in Waukegan, Lake County, IL.  She was a lifelong resident of Lake County, Illinois.

Her greatest joy in life was seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an artist and insatiable reader.  She was very talented with crafts; anything using her hands, especially in the areas of sewing and painting.  She created many memorable works of art for her family—including her artwork located on her remembrance card.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Rogge; children, Sheila (Carl) Geier of Lake Villa, IL and Winnie (Joe) Lalanda of Round Lake, IL; grandchildren, Victoria (Jonathan) Timm of Plainview, MN, Chris (Jessica) Geier of Round Lake Beach, IL, Justin Lalanda of Volo, IL, Jared Lalanda of Grayslake, IL, and Robert (Claire) Geier of Oakland, CA; great-grandchildren, Carson, Damian, and Marshall Timm; three sisters, Pearl (Jim) Vanderhoef, Diana Shumate, and Debbie Shumate; two brothers, Wayne and Terry Shumate; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayman L. Shumate and Ethel (nee Nichols) Shumate; two brothers, Michael and Jeffrey Shumate; and nieces, Marian and Terry Shumate.

Memorial visitation Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, from 4 p.m. until the memorial service at 7 p.m.
