Norman Wayne Robinson's Obituary

Norman Wayne Robinson, of Lake County, formerly of Mississippi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 19, 2014. He was born on January 24, 1956 in Booneville, Mississippi to Leland and Mary (nee Cartwright) Robinson.
Wayne, as he was known by everyone, was one of #1 salesmen at Rockenbach Chevrolet as well as Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake and Classic Chevy in Waukegan. He was a singer/songwriter and had even recorded a CD in Nashville called Creatures of Life. Wayne was also the lead singer for the bands Suspect, Second Wind and Not Even Trying - where he sang with his son Adam.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his loving wife Ellen (nee Aman) Robinson; his dear children, Benford Wayne (Lisa Quadros) and Adam Lucas (Cynthia) Robinson, Linda Robinson Schlapper, Carrie (Eric) Johnson, Lelia Ballard and Brenda (Josh) Kosmalski; his grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, Jonathan, Matthew, Delaney, Leland and Kaecen; his siblings, Robbie (Julie) Robinson and Sandra Robinson Guntharp; and by his best friends: his puppies, Toby, Chloe and Roxy and his kitties, Quizzy and Spooky. Many loving, aunts, uncles and cousins near and far also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Gregory Guntharp.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 4 until the 7:30 p.m. funeral service at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL 60020. Interment will be private.
