Norman Fischer, 76, of Spring Grove passed away Jan. 16, 2018, at Alden Terrace Rehabilitation Center in McHenry. He was born Aug. 7, 1941 in Chicago to the late Erich and Else (nee Kellner) Fischer. On Sept. 20, 1969, in Chicago, Norman married the love of his life, Mary Ann Bieschke. Norman was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Fox Lake American Legion Post 703. He worked and retired from Baxter in 2012 after 40 years of service. Norman enjoyed hunting, bike riding, trains, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Fischer; four children, Norman (Angela) Fischer, Jr., Tammy (Mike) Moro, Deb (Jeff) Alheit, and Anna (Mike) Desmond; twelve grandchildren, Erich, Jessica, Joshua, Matthew, Emma, Daniel, Savannah, Ellie, Chloe, Willow, Mason, and Simon. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Funeral services will follow at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
