Nicholas Dohrn, 86, a resident of Schaumburg, formerly of Naples, FL and Norwood Park, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was born on March 25, 1924 in Chicago to Nicholas and Anna Dohrn.
Nicholas was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he was stationed in France and Germany. He was employed at American Brake Share and Evans products. He was a member of the VFW in Naples, FL as well as Park Ridge. He enjoyed golfing, modeling railroads and was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Greg (Laurie) Dohrn of Ringwood and Bobbi (Tom) Walter of Elk Grove; his grandchildren Chris (Heather) Dohrn of Jerseyville, Maggie (Randy) Germann of Ringwood, Peter (Sarah) Dohrn of Port Angeles, WA Hannah Dohrn of Ringwood and Tim (Peggy) Dohrn of Elk Grove and Erin Walter of Elk Grove; his great-grandchildren Grady, Addy, Jack, Bernie and Temani.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie D. Dohrn in 2006 and his parents.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 4 PM until 8
PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake. A memorial mass will be Friday, November 26, 2010 at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg, IL. Please, go directly to the church on Friday by 9:30 AM. Interment will be private
