Michael J. Wiznerowicz, 54 of Fox Lake, passed away on April 22, 2013 at his home. Michael lived in the Chain-o-Lakes area all of his life. He owned LaVerne's Catering/Catering by Cory until 2002. Michael had a special skill for cooking, he could make delicious entrees without even having to measure out the ingredients. Michael was a volunteer paramedic for the Ingleside Fire Department. He enjoyed activities such as spending time with friends and family, brushing his cat Sofie, taking walks, tending to his friend Carol's gardens, helping at the Florist in Fox Lake and Mark Goebel with his landscaping business. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Michael is survived by his sister Paula Wiznerowicz of Palatine; brother, Thomas E. (Mary Ann) Wiznerowicz of Richmond; sister, Kate (Don) Tyminski of Bluffton, South Carolina; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces-nephews and many friends. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Thomas J. Wiznerowicz. A memorial service will be held on June 23, 2013 at 5:30 PM, Villa Desiderata Retreat Center, 3015 North Bay View Lane, McHenry, Illinois 60051.
