Michael D. Kundit, 55, of Ingleside, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at his home.

He was born February 5, 1962, in Oak Lawn, to the late Jack Kundit, Sr. and the late Lorraine Stiegal.

Michael loved muscle cars—especially his 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.  He also had a passion for music—especially Elvis and ZZ Top.  Michael was a great friend, who always put his friends first.  He previously worked as a mechanic for United Airlines and as an engineer for Verizon Wireless.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Katie Kundit of Fox Lake; stepmother, Veronica Kundit of Kenosha; and many, many friends who meant the world to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Kundit, Jr.

The visitation will be Friday, July 14, from 4-8 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  There will also be visitation Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. until the celebration of Michael's life at 11 a.m., at Hamsher Lakeside.  Inurnment will be private.
