Melvin Scott Savage, 78, of Fox Lake, formerly of Wildwood, died unexpectedly at home Thursday, November 2, 2017.  He had previously worked at Enterprise Ready Mix in Waukegan and Home Depot in Gurnee.  Scott was also an accomplished musician and lead singer/guitarist with The Versalaires.  He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Adamowski); father of Vicki (Kimble) Menard and the late Paula "Shelli" (Patrick) Boyle; grandfather of Patrisha, Kimble II, Harley (Katie Koskinos), and the late Garth Menard, and Sean and Kelly Boyle; great-grandfather of Alexis, Dakota, Melonie, and Gavin Menard, and Kaiden Acevedo; brother of Sandra (Daniel) Tindell and the late Joan Laree (Alvin) Block, Bill (Catherine) Savage, and Michael (Barbara) Savage.  Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N.
