MaryAnne Cecilia McNally (nee Zak), 59, a lifelong resident of Fox Lake, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at her home.  She was born August 14, 1963, in Waukegan, to the late Francis and Vivian (nee Naumiak) Zak.

MaryAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Felix "Mac" McNally; parents, Frank and Vivian; sister, Patricia Murray; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

She is survived by her siblings, Danny (Elaine) Zak, Marie (Dirk) Drehobl, and Franny (Mark) Kautzer; nieces and nephews, Erica (Joe), Rory (Karen), Terri, Tony, Sunni, Danni (Brandon), Stephanie, and Carri (Kenny); 11 great nieces and nephews; several grand fur babies; and many beloved friends.

To know MaryAnne was to love her.  She often began her day with breakfast at the Fox Lake Family Restaurant before running errands for any and all family and friends—whether they needed it or not or if she found a great sale.  Many family, friends, and people in the Village of Fox Lake were blessed by her gifts of cheesecake delivery, her "Aunt Casey" dip, extra toilet paper, dog biscuits, groceries, or just a simple visit from Mary Anne for a good-ole laugh.

MaryAnne would give the shirt off her back anytime of the day or night often dog sitting, house sitting, doing airport pickups or drop-offs, or watching the craziest kids known to man.

Those who knew her best, knew her as AMA, Columbo, or Cheesecake MaryAnne.  There are few people in Fox Lake who don't have a good story to share about MaryAnne; she will be very missed.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, September 16, from 4-8 p.m., with a time to share memories of MaryAnne at 6:30 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Private burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
