Mary Ruth Wozniak, 81 of McHenry, IL passed away on Sunday, November 2nd at Ignite Medical Resort, McHenry, IL. She was born on September 2, 1944, in Waukegan, IL.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many. She grew up in Waukegan, IL as an only child, eventually marrying (Gerold Topcik), starting their family and raising four children in the community. In the 1970s, Mary found success as a sales consultant for Queens-Way to Fashion, taking advantage of the boom of in-home sales parties. The flexibility of this work enabled her to earn income while balancing the demands of a large and busy family. She later worked at Lube Oils, Waukegan, IL and Sears Mortgage (eventually Washington Mutual), Vernon Hills, IL before making the leap into real-estate investing. Mary and her husband Keith Solko managed many properties across Lake County, IL. What she truly enjoyed was the lake life in Fox Lake, IL and McHenry, IL where she loved the sun, water, scenery, local establishments and events on the lake with family and friends. In addition to being on her boats over the years, Mary was known for her love of music, dancing, sense of humor, obsession for tasty snack foods, collecting, and always looking for ways to scratch her entrepreneurial spirit.

Preceded in death by her Father Edgar Sloman, Mother Ruth Sloman (Talyor), Daughter Tiffany Topcik, Granddaughter Tracie Musich, Great-grandson Micah Musich, second Husband Keith Solko, and third Husband Chuck Wozniak. Survived by her children Terri (Robert) Walker, Trisha (Paul) Letto, Timothy (Cathy) Topcik, Grandchildren, Ian Hardin, Alexis Hardin, Terry (Heather) Musich Jr., Travis Musich, Julia (Max) Bodette, Trevor (Jessica) Topcik and Tyler (Katie) Topcik, Great-grandchildren, Colton Musich, Emma Musich, Cameron Clemons, Rowan Bodette, Crosby Bodette, Palmer Bodette, Jozlyn Topcik and Theodore Topcik.

Memorial visitation and brief service will be held at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S Milwaukee Ave. (Route 83), Lake Villa, IL on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 12pm – 3pm (2:30 p.m. service).
