Martin A. Freund

Martin A. Freund, a life time resident of the Fox Lake/Ingleside area, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2014. He was born in Elmhurst, IL on June 7, 1931 to Alfred and Carrie (nee Falkenstein) Freund.

Martin greatly enjoyed bowling and boating in his younger years. He enjoyed building and conducting his model trains as well as photography. He was a longtime member of Carpenter's Union #250.

Martin will be deeply missed by his dear step-children, Debra Fleming, Greg Sr. (Tammy), Richard (Brenda) and Michael Williams; his grandchildren, Kayla Wiliams, Christopher (Maegan) and Nicholas (Ashley) Gallimore, Michael Jr., Greg Jr., Ashley and Nathan Williams; his great-grandchildren, Thomas, Nicholas "Cole", Tyler, Mira, Kason and Bastian.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Shirley and by his parents.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4 until the 7:30 PM memorial service at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
