Marie "Kathy" McClain, a resident of McHenry for the past 15 years, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2012. She was born on March 29, 1953 in La Mesa, CA to Chester and Winifred (nee Workman) McClain.
She was a longtime employee of McHenry Dental Center.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her loving children, Bryan Thompson and Sarah (Dan) Burt; her father and by her siblings John McClain and Jane (Rich) Schrieder. Many loving friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her brother, Chet; and by her best friend, Mary Kay, in 2011.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 4 PM until the time of the service at 7:30 PM with Deacon Larry Spohr officiating, at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
