Mardi Scheske (nee Derer), 65, a longtime resident of Fox Lake, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at The Springs, Crystal Lake.  She was born January 5, 1953, in Chicago.  Mardi had a great love for, and was very active in, the Fox Lake community.

Survivors include her children, Billy (Jodi) Scheske of Milwaukee, WI and Kari (Stacey) Lorenz of Pardeeville, WI; grandchildren, William, Benjamin, and Nathan Scheske, and Kyla Lorenz; sister, Terri Eisele of Grayslake; niece and nephew, Tracey Lee and Joseph (Anna) Eisele; great niece and nephew, Kaylin and Jeffrey Lee; and many beloved extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Mardi's life will be held Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.

Mardi was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lorraine (nee Busch) Derer; and sister, Dr. Kristine R. Derer.
