Lucille H. Becker

Lucille H. Becker (nee Sonntag), longtime resident of Fox Lake, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2014. Prior to living in Fox Lake, she was a resident of Hudson, FL and Chicago, IL.

She was born on October 24, 1916 in Chicago, IL to Victor and Charlotte (nee Dargatz) Sonntag. Lucille was united in marriage to the late Edwin J. Becker, Sr. She and her husband met in church when she was 16. Together, they enjoyed their vegetable and flower garden, and also their time spent in Florida. Lucille was a former member of the Fox Lake Fire Dept Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed crocheting, time spent with family, friends and especially her grandchildren.

Lucille will be deeply missed by her loving children, Edwin (Karen) Becker Jr., of Ingleside, Richard (Carol) Becker of Mellen, WI, and David (Cheryl) Becker of Fox Lake. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, and eleven great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Edwin J. Becker, Sr.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m, and Saturday, June 21, at 8:30 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. service at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Funeral will be held, Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL.
