A resident of Lake Villa for the past 12 years formerly of Crown Point, IN died Friday March 26, 2010 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Il.
He was born on September 22, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Louis and Marie(nee Pelke) Richter, and had been a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church and was formerly employed with Parker-Hannifin of Des Plains. He enjoyed playing cards at Antioch Senior Center, working out at Lindenhurst Health Center, and was an avid White Sox fan.
He will be greatly missed by: his daughter Louise (Anthony) Sorrentino; his grandchildren: Tony, Carly and Michael Sorrentino. As well as many dear nieces, nephews and other family.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Claire Richter (nee Wegman), by a son Matthew.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday March 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bede Catholic Church 36455 W. Wilson Rd. Ingleside, Il. 60041. Visitations will be at the Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until mass time.
Burial will take place privately at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Il.
