Lorraine Vlasta Sadilek (nee Minarik), 95, a 68-year resident of Ingleside, and former summer resident, died Monday, September 21, 2020, at home.  She was born January 11, 1925, in Chicago, to the late Robert and Rose (nee Vokac) Minarik.

Lorraine had a long career at the Lake County Courthouse, retiring as Secretary of the Department of Court Services .  She enjoyed bowling—especially on her husband's team, Chain of Lakes Aviation Service—at Lakes Bowl in Fox Lake for many years.  She had a passion for music and played the piano (her favorite pieces were Tiger Rag and In the Mood), and sang in choirs at Ingleside United Methodist and Fox Lake Baptist (now CrossPoint) Churches.  Lorraine loved watching Lawrence Welk, crafting, traveling, "going for a ride" to unplanned destinations, working seek-and-find puzzles, was a colorist, and enjoyed handy work.

She was a former member of Ingleside United Methodist Church, and a current member of CrossPoint Church, a former troop leader at Big Hollow School Girl Scouts, a member of a unit associated with the Lake County Association for Home Community Education, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Berwyn Chapter #529.

Survivors include her children, Sherry Lee Sadilek Patterson, Joseph (Karen) Sadilek, and Charmaine (fiancé David Kucharski) Sadilek; grandchildren, James (Sheri) Patterson, Frank (Thuy) Patterson, Robert "Bob" Patterson, Russell Sadilek, and Ryan (Gina) Sadilek; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Zachary, McKenzie, Logan, and Kayla Patterson, and Isabelle and Olivia Sadilek; great-great grandson, Byron Patterson; niece and nephew, Val Ferlis and Jeff Vicek; and by many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sadilek in 1976; and sister, Charlotte (Anthony) Vicek.

Funeral services will be private as well as graveside services at Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.

In lieu of flowers, planting a tree, or making a donation to CrossPoint Church, 27430 W. Nippersink Rd., Ingleside, IL 60041, in Lorraine's name, will be appreciated by the family.
