Lisa Seebock, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Fox Point Manor in McHenry. She was born on September 28, 1921 in Germany. Lisa was proud to be born and raised in Germany, and traveled to the United States with her husband and son in 1953. She was a professional seamstress, completed her training in Germany, and could sew anything from baby clothes to wedding dresses and everything in between. Lisa enjoyed reading, working on word searches, gardening, had a "green thumb," and sipping her evening shot of Cordial, which she always said "kept her going." She is survived by her loving family, one son and daughter-in-law, John and Patti Seebock; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Larry) Brown, Lyndsey (Kevin) Gilich and Shane Seebock; five great grandchildren, Jacob Gilich, Justin Gilich, Benjamin Brown, Lauren Brown, Emily Brown, and fondly called "Grandma Lisa" by all who knew and loved her. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband who passed away in 1990, John Seebock, and two sisters. A private family burial will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines. Arrangements entrusted to Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremation.
