Lennox Joseph Broderick, age three weeks, died peacefully in his mom's arms, surrounded by his dad and extended family members, Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford.

Lennox was born October 7, 2017, at 23 weeks and one day gestational age.  He was so strong, tiny but mighty, and fought hard the entire time in his NICU incubator.  He was so loved by anyone that met him or followed his journey.  Unfortunately, his micro-preemie lungs, that developed two infections, were too little to provide the oxygen his body and organs needed.  And God needed him more.

Survivors include his parents, Patrick and Cara (nee Schimke) Broderick; brother, Aidan Wasilowki of McHenry; grandparents, Linda and Raymond Broderick of Danville (formerly of Johnsburg) and Penni (nee Lindh) and Phil Schimke of McHenry; uncles and aunts, Aaron Broderick of Wonder Lake, Alissa Broderick of Oakwood, Courtney (Stephen) Doninger of Grayslake, Corinne (Greg) Regnier of Spring Grove, and Calene (Ken) Kieffer of McHenry; and many cousins.

The visitation will be Sunday, November 5, from 2-6 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, November 6, at 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg.  Interment will be private.
