Lawrence "Larry" Piasecki, 57, of McHenry, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born July 28, 1957, in Chicago, to the late Edwin and Vera (nee Brady) Piasecki.

Larry was a long-time car salesman, most recently at Pauly Toyota in Crystal Lake.  He had previously worked at Brilliance Honda in Crystal Lake, Fox Lake Toyota, Libertyville Toyota, and Haggerty Oldsmobile in Chicago.

An outstanding cook, Larry enjoyed smoking meats, cheeses, and his specialty, salmon.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman, who enjoyed boating and spending time in Michigan.  Larry was very well known for his love of Christmas and his holiday lights.

Survivors include his sister, Sue Tomczak of Crystal Lake; nieces and nephews, Cortney Tomczak of Harvard, Tyler (Bernadette) Tomczak of Crystal Lake, Todd (Jamie) Piasecki of Trevor, WI, and Rachel (Mike) Ringler of  Antioch; great niece and nephews, Gianah Tomczak, Jack Nagel, Christian Allen, and Lucas Ringler; former wife and friend, Lisa Czarnecki; former mother-in-law, Pat Werderitch of Buffalo Grove; former father-in-law, Bob Czarnecki of Cassopolis, MI; former brother-in-law, Michael Czarnecki of Arlington Heights; auntie, Armella Maguire of Arlington Heights; aunt, Marjorie Piasecki of Naperville; many cousins and extended family; and by his black lab, Dollie.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his older brother, Ken (the late Margie) Piasecki; uncles, Daniel Maguire and Norbert Piasecki; cousin, Tim Maguire; and by black lab, Duke.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., with memorial visitation from 3-9 p.m.  Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family will be appreciated
