Laura Ann Pashke, 62, a lifelong resident of Lake County, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. She was born November 26, 1953.
Laura was a proud member of the IBEW Local 150, and worked many years as a phone-company lineman until she retired in 2005.
Laura enjoyed sports and was an avid golfer. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and skating as well. A big fan of the Chicago Bears and Northwestern Wildcats football, attending events was a favorite pastime, and she travelled at every opportunity—with Hawaii a favorite destination.
She attended St. Bede Catholic Church and School in Ingleside, and was a 1971 graduate of Grant Community High School in Fox Lake.
Laura is survived by her mother, Corinne General; brothers, Jerome "Skip" Pashke, Frank J. Urman, and William Urman; sisters, Ellen Urman (Chad) Gustafson, Catherine Urman (James) Lietz, and Amy Urman (Rob) Didriksen; beloved nieces and nephews, Jessica Pashke, Keith (Allissa) and Jay Trovillion, Christine, Dylan, and Candis Giernoth, and Frank L. Urman; great nephews, Mason Pashke and James Giernoth; great niece, Kallie Trovillion; her aunts, Roberta Joyce, Arline Cetner, and Anita (Roger) Biver; many cousins; and good friends including the Ahoo Girls, who all held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Pashke; stepfather, Frank E. Urman; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Castelli Pashke; and uncles, Peter Joyce and Joseph Cetner.
Memorial visitation will be 3-8 p.m., Sunday, December 13, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, December 14, at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. The inurnment will be private.
