Lars "Vinny" Parker's Obituary

Lars V. Parker, 95, of Round Lake and former longtime owner of Ralph's Greenhouse, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at Storypoint, Libertyville.  He was born July 16, 1925, in Chicago, to the late Lars J. and Karin (nee Paulson) Parker.

Lars was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater.  He was a member of Wildwood Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Laura (John) Jendrzejewski and Gail (Frank) Caponi; grandchildren, Karen (Matt) Clutter, Jessica (Joseph) Leffelman, Shelly (Jimm) Rudy, and Brent (Laura) Olsen; 17 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Carl "Stan" (Violet) Matson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lars was preceded in death by wife, Margaret (nee Matson) Parker; daughter, Sharon Guntly; granddaughter, Margaret Guntly; brother, Ralph Parker; and brother-in-law, Bertel Stromberg.

There will be no services at this time.
