Larry Hook, 71, of Fox Lake, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, at home.  He was born April 27, 1949, in Chicago, to the late John and Genevieve (nee Moore) Hook.

Larry was a veteran of the Army and Vietnam War, who went on to serve for 28 years as a fireman/paramedic for the Morton Grove Fire Department.  He enjoyed off-shore boat racing, fishing, and golf.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa (nee Harycki); daughters, Cristie (Ben) Panke and Kathleen (Brian Burns) Hook; grandchildren, Victoria Hook, Thomas Panke, Brandy (Steven Nowik) Hook, Samantha Schmidt, and Shaylee Burns; great-grandson, Logan Nowik; siblings, Patsy Pizzala, Penny (Norm) Evans, Peggy Hook, and John (Jan) Hook; sister-in-law, Kathy (Dale) Benzschawel; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Charlie Hook.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 11, from 2 p.m., until the time of Army funeral honors at 5 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Please note: face masks and physical distancing will be required while inside the funeral home.
