Kathleen "Kathy" M. Dietz, a long time resident of Round Lake, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2013. She was born on April 20, 1953 in Waukegan to Conrad and Joan (nee Dillon) Kleinbach.
She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She also loved hosting parties and decorating for the holidays.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim, whose relationship has spanned 2 decades; her son Robert (Janette) Daley; her step-children, Donna (Steve) Bjorkquist, Gerald (Laura) and Chris Dietz; her grandchildren, Timothy Daley, Zachary, Alex and Molly Dietz; her mother, Joan Hendricks and by her siblings, Terry (Lawrence) Colby, Betty Ann (Keith) Olsen, Nyle (Pat), Gerard (Penny) and Heather Hendricks. Many other loving relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, January 25, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
