Kathleen P. (Cunningham) Kaplan's Obituary

Kathleen P. Kaplan (nee Cunningham), 79, of Ingleside, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at her home.  She was born March 25, 1937, in Chicago, to the late Edward and Monica (nee Marren) Cunningham.

Her enormous personality, wealth of selflessness and friendly smile will be greatly missed by all of her family, as well as her friends.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 40 years, James A. Kaplan; children, Colleen Michaelson, Gordon (Isana) Michaelson, Seamus (Lynn) Kaplan, and Sean Kaplan; grandchildren, Kathleen, Maureen, Liam, Kirsten, Shane, Cara, Courtney, Chase, Alexandra, Ian, and Kierstian; siblings, Mona Litwiler, Edward (Barb) Cunningham, Nancy Klein, Sheila Bedard, and Cecelia (Ron) Gomora; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Maureen and Donald Cunningham.

A memorial Mass to celebrate Kathleen's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 23, at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Kathleen's honor. Kathleen was an active supporter for this program in helping our Veterans. Donations can be made at: www.woundedwarriorproject.org
