Reitz, Karrie Keeler, 38

Karrie was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 30, 1976 but spent most of her life in the Chain of Lakes area. Karrie attended St. Bede Catholic School, grades 1-6 and St. Angela's in Brea, CA for grades 7 & 8. She and her mother then returned to Fox Lake from California. Karrie was a 1994 graduate of Grant High School where she enjoyed music, drama singing and dancing. She was also a member of the Pom Pon squad at St. Bede and at Grant. After high school, Karrie taught dancing, among other jobs.

Karrie is survived by her three adored children, Andrew, 18, Ethan, 15 and Keira, 7, her loving mother, Diane Keeler (Andy Giernoth), father Bill (Paula) Reitz, brother Thomas, sister Theresia, brother Jeffrey and step-brother Lee (Erin) Giernoth. Uncle Jack Bertolette, Uncle Mike (Kristi) Bertolette, Aunt Donna Keeler (Jerry Reyling), Aunt Bonnie Keeler, Uncle Les (Norma) Reitz also survive Karrie. There are also many cousins, friends and neighbors that will miss her terribly.

Karrie was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Bob and Helen Keeler of Fox Lake, grandparents, Rick (Orveda, Leona) Reitz of PA, brother Jonathan Reitz and husband, Kyle Skacal.

Karrie's favorite entertainer was Gwen Stefani of "No Doubt" fame – so you might hear some of Gwen's music. Karrie's favorite color was red. Please feel free to wear red in Karrie's honor and to help celebrate her life!

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 5, at 10:30 AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. Interment will be private.
