Karen D. Eichhorst passed away peacefully Thursday, February 6, 2014.

She was born February 26, 1937 in Chilton, Wisconsin to Doc and Ruth (nee Neslon) Humlecker.

Karen enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and traveled throughout the United States.

She is survived by her cherished children, Peggy Eichhorst of Ingleside, James Eichhorst of Boston, Massachusetts, Peter Eichhorst of Fort Meyers, Florida, and Mark Eichhorst of Cary, North Carolina; dear brothers, Finn (Sylvia) Humlecker of Arizona, Pete (Nancy) Humlecker and Steve (the late Sue) Humlecker; treasured grandchildren, Nicole Witte, Timothy Passe, Martha Jo Craig and Jacob Passe; by several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends also survive.

Karen was preceded by her daughter, Mary Ann; a nephew, and her parents.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014, at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, IL 60020

Interment will be private.
